Northeast/North Portland State Sen. Chip Shields to host living wage town hall Friday

State Sen. Chip Shields, who represents North and Northeast Portland, has announced plans for a living wage town hall to be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 9 at Vigor Industrial, 5555 N. Channel Ave. on Swan Island.

Human resource recruiters from Daimler Trucks North America, UPS, Legacy Health Systems, Gunderson, New Seasons Markets, Oregon Iron Works and Vigor Industrial will be at the event.

The town hall is also hosted by state Reps. Lew Frederick and Tina Kotek.
