Shemia Fagan Running for HD 51; David Edwards Mulling Return

Shemia Fagan is seeking the Democratic nomination in House District 51.

Fagan, 30, a lawyer at the Ater Wynne firm, says regardless of what happens, she will continue on the David Douglas board.

In Washington County, former Rep. David Edwards (D-Hillsboro), a rising legislative star before declining to seek re-election in 2010, is thinking about trying to reclaim his House District 30 seat from first-term incumbent Rep. Shawn Lindsay (R-Hillsboro). Democrats outnumbered Republicans by about 2,500 voters in the district as of August, the last month for which figures are available.
