Kitzhaber lags in early ratings
Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber’s early-term approval rating is firmly below the 50 percent mark. Yet at 40 percent, Kitzhaber’s rating is higher than Gov. Ted Kulongoski’s final approval numbers (37 percent) when he left office in January. The numbers come from Riley Research Associates, a Portland poll-taker that revealed Kitzhaber’s support falls within party lines.
