Oregon company stocks shined in 2010
The catchphrase “Buy Local” typically implores consumers to purchase groceries from local suppliers.
Yet a glimpse at the Davidson 99 Regional Stock Index suggests the slogan might apply to local public companies as well. As this Business Journal database shows, Oregon companies in the index gained an average of 28.39 percent in per-share value during 2010, well out-pacing the major indices.
