I mostly agree with Anna. I would stress a few other needed educational changes, and stress that those changes need to happen before more funding. But improving our schools is central to an Oregon comeback.

Inane. The only one trying to fix the school problem is Sam Adams? Lord have mercy. And union contracts that ensure that bad teachers can be gotten rid of? Sure, and a pony for every kid.
Better to get rid of the teachers' unions entirely -- which is just as likely to happen.
More money to the governmental sector is the last thing Oregon needs. So "whatever it takes" best leave that out.
