Health Net Medicare violations means fewer options for Douglas County seniors
Douglas County seniors have fewer supplemental Medicare insurance options for next year due to recent federal sanctions imposed on an insurance company that currently covers more than 1,200 county residents.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has ordered Woodland Hills, Calif.-based Health Net to immediately suspend marketing and stop enrolling new beneficiaries into its prescription drug and Medicare Advantage plans because of violations of Medicare's rules and regulations, according to a Medicare news release.
