Oregon GOP spat goes public
A leadership spat within the Oregon Republican Party has boiled over into the public arena in a big way, with charges and countercharges flying between Chairman Bob Tiernan and Vice Chairman Russ Walker.
The latest dispute concerns an overdue repayment on a $20,000 loan made to the party by World War II vet Don Malarkey of "Band of Brothers" fame.
But that's just the catalyst. Bad blood has been simmering between the two party leaders for months over the direction of the party and leadership styles.
