I submitted the following question:
Oregon’s economy continues to be troubled. The largest opportunities for increased sales of Oregon goods and services are abroad (where 95% of the world’s consumers live). Over the next decade and beyond, the US GDP will be fortunate to grow at an annual rate of 2-3%, yet many a foreign market will be growing at 6%, 8%, or even 10% and more per year. President Obama has proposed doubling US exports over the next four years. Do you advocate Oregon significantly increasing its exports? If so, what changes or programs would you propose to assist that export growth?
