Hales taps Aisling Coghlan to head transition team

Three days after sweeping into the Portland mayoral spot, Charlie Hales has begun the tedious transitional tasks that’ll shape his administration’s early months.

Hales said Friday that Aisling Coghlan, former chief of staff to Portland City Commissioner Dan Saltzman, will oversee his transition team. Coghlan, who’s worked as a campaign consultant since leaving Saltzman’s office in the early 2000s, is not applying for a position on Hales’s staff, Hales said.
