Victoria Taft Sums It Up
While gathering reaction today to the Oregonian story about a night on the town that seven Oregon House Republicans came to regret, I decided to tune in to Oregon conservative talk radio to see how folks were reacting. In Salem, talk show host Bill Post was on vacation today, but before leaving town he did post a scathing analysis of the situation on his website. Referring to GOP House leaders, Post writes: "It's time to clean house, folks."But Portland broadcaster Victoria Taft had a different take on the topless bar incident, which dominated the segment of the show I listened to. The general sentiment among Taft and her listeners: "What's the big deal?" Taft also complained of a double standard, claiming that Democrats would not face the same scrutiny in a similar situation.
