Peter Courtney: "I’m hoping my goat feels that love."
Kari Chisholm
It's time for the state fair, which means it's time for... oh, never mind. I'll just share the quote with you:
“It’s very difficult to milk a goat. They turn around and look at you like ‘what are you doing.’” [Senate President Peter] Courtney said. “I don’t know if you’ve ever had a goat give you a look, but it’s a look that will stay with you for the rest of your life.”
The Salem Democrat’s strategy is to arrive early and spend time getting to know his goat.
“That’s key; you’ve got to bond with your goat,” Courtney said. “I love goats. I love the state fair, and I always stop to see the goats. I’m hoping my goat feels that love.”
Oh, and the first person who sends me a photo of Senator Courtney and his goat from tonight's big goat-milking showdown wins the day.
