Art Robinson for GOP Chair? Pass the popcorn!
Kari Chisholm
Oh, this is going to be sooo much fun. It seems that crackpot extraordinaire Art Robinson is throwing his hat in the ring for chairman of the Oregon Republican Party. (Allen Alley has decided that he doesn't want to get kicked around anymore.)
Art is, of course, the fellow who has run against Congressman Peter DeFazio the last two elections. Everything you need to know about him is at WhoIsArtRobinson.com. Here's a few samples:
-
"All we need do with nuclear waste is dilute it to a low radiation level and sprinkle it over the ocean – or even over America."
-
"The whole public school system is child abuse."
-
“It’s craziness, but in communist China, there is more economic freedom for businessmen than there is in the United States. It’s insanity.”
If you missed it back in 2010, be sure to watch Rachel Maddow's interview with Robinson. You've never seen such an astonishing live national television implosion.
I find it hard to believe that the money people behind the Oregon GOP would allow Art Robinson to be their spokesman in Oregon. It would basically be a sign that they're just throwing in the towel entirely. But he's not without his supporters - particularly in the Ron Paul wing-ding sector. And they're fired up, feeling that they were mistreated in the convention delegate selection process. Pass the popcorn!
Oh, and of course, should he actually win... well, we're just going to have way too much fun around here.
