Breakfast With Kitzhaber This Morning
Paulie Brading
Governor Kitzhaber arrived in Medford last night just in time to join several of his supporters to help them with their phone bank.
Senator Alan Bates and State Rep. Peter Buckley gathered some of the busiest people I know to sit down for breakfast with John Kitzhaber at 8 am this morning. Some of his closest Jackson County friends and supporters had a grand time making suggestions about what John Kitzhaber should whisper in President Obama's ear this afternoon while he is with the president in Portland.
Kitz was funny, determined, rested and confident during our chat. Once again I was reminded how superbly qualified he is to inherit Oregon's nightmare financial crisis. His firm grasp of the details for leading Oregon are in stark contrast to Chis Dudley's sketchy platitudes.
Chris Dudley is out lip-synching his prepared script riding around in his shiny bus. If Dudley gets handed the keys to the State Capital, his first question will be "Where do I go now?". We have a clear and historic opportunity to give our state a head start in solving our economic problems when we vote for John Kitzhaber.
Have a great time at the rally! Many of us from all parts of Oregon will be with you in spirit.
