In which Bill Sizemore finds himself up another creek; sans paddle.
Carla Axtman
Matt Davis at Blogtown:
As if being thrown in jail and facing potential court sanctions weren't enough, alleged initiative racketeer Bill Sizemore could now face hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines imposed by the Oregon Secretary of State's office.Secretary of State Kate Brown's office announced this morning that it has opened an investigation into Sizemore's behavior during the 2008 election. A civil penalty of $10,000 per crooked transaction may be leveled as a result, which means there's a potential for a huge fine to be leveled against Sizemore.
Sizemore is also due back in front of Judge Janice Wilson in Multnomah County Court on March 6 to defend himself against additional sanctions sought by Oregon Attorney General Kroger's office.

Talk about beating a dead horse.....
Feb 12, '09
Okay. Why don't we stop beating him, and just make him work an honest job for real wages.
Oh, wait, this is Wild Bill Sizemore. He can't do anything with the word "honest" in it.
Sorry. My bad.

By all means beat the horse. He's not dead yet, and the reason he isn't dead is because nobody has given him the whoopin' he deserves.
Feb 12, '09
Yeah. He's been cruisin for a bruisin for years. That's true.

As long as Bill Sizemore is busy clogging the ballot with several crappy ballot measures every two years, he has to put up with things like, you know, laws and stuff. And liberal bloggers cheering. Comes with the territory.

When the horse stops twitching I will gladly stop. Until then, hand me a Louisville please.

While Sizemore continues his slow death spiral we need to keep our eyes on Wendt (the Jeld-Wen guy) and Parks (the erection meter guy)to see who they are funding to continue their war on working purple, red, and blue Oregonians.

Agreed. That was something that both Steve Maurer and myself commented on last month, that losing the "marque" name of 'Sizemore' just made defeating these odious reactionary ballot measure turds harder, since Sizemore's name alone was enough to get over 50% of the electorate to automatically be against it for that alone.

It's outrage over what he does with our initiative process. You're smart; you must empathize with that. That and the fact that these types seem to have 9 lives.

...and there's another regeneration coming! what a coinky-dink.

I know I'm also going to be accused of abusing an expired equine, but one way to get the message to Wendt is to boycott everything and anything Jeld-Wen, including resorts/golf courses, windows, doors, Hire Calling...and tell everyone (like Home Depot) why...link Jeld-Wen and Sleazemore. If you work in Salem, make Wendt's lobbyists (like Marc Kane) uncomfortable...some of them may still have a conscience or at least a sense of shame. Dick Wendt has deep pockets, but I think it's possible he cares more about money than ideology.

Well, it's a cinch for me to avoid any golf course or resort backed by the Wendtmeister.
I don't actually get paid enough to go anywhere on vacation.
I do tell everyone who will listen who's beind the Jeld-Wen name though. They usually seem appalled.
Then I go in for the kill with who Loren Parks is.

That usually does it.
