Last Day to Vote (with photos)
Jeff Alworth
A few photos from the scenes on the ground. The first image was taken at PSU this morning.
The Southeast elections office has four drop boxes, no waiting. This was during the noon rush.
Four hour waits to vote? Not in Oregon!
But wait, a voting irregularity! Nope, just a stuck flap. After 31 seconds, the technical glitch was resolved.
Finally, what's up with this long line? What are these people waiting for? The elections guy on the street didn't know, and I was too chicken to ask the voters (demonstrating why I blog rather than report).

Thanks for posting, and thanks to all the hard working folks at the Multnomah County Elections Office, both employees and volunteers. They have been working hard for months to make sure that things go well today and that all of us have ample opportunity to get our votes counted.

Jeff, i think the people in line signed-up to stand in solidarity with a voter in less enlightened parts of the nation. more likely, however, they have ballot problems what need fixing. or perhaps that's the "vote here & get a free cookie" line.

There have been a couple of times when we took students (PSU) over to the Multnomah Elections office on Morrison that the wait was an hour or more. BTW...YEAH Jen's Vote BOX!:)
