Jeff Merkley gives props to the Netroots.
Carla Axtman
This afternoon I sat in on a conference call with SENATOR-ELECT JEFF MERKLEY (god, I love typing that) and a group of bloggers from around the country.
Jeff expressed his deep appreciation to the Netroots for all of their exceptionally good work during the campaign. He said he'd very much like to remain engaged with the community. Jeff's about to wade neck deep into the Sodom and Gomorrah of American politics. It'll be good for us to be around to keep reminding him of his (net)roots.
Merkley spoke at length about his renewed commitment to investing in green energy, fair trade and working for ALL Oregonians to rebuild our economy. It was a very short, but excellent call.
