It would have been a much more civil and substantive primary if the DSCC had been doing this since the beginning.
Instead of meddling in the primary, they should have been softening up Gordon Smith. There's plenty of need for it and there are plenty of ways to do it.
This is money well spent.

It's a good ad and well timed too.
That the DSCC is running this ad further underscores WHY they downgraded this race the day after the April 7th SUSA poll was released.
In other news... the hardcore Conservative RINO WATCH endorsed Novick.

I guess people on this blog only oppose negative/comparative advertising when the guy they don't support is running the ad.

i thought the that the pacing was bad, and the narrator sounded rushed. the dscc can do better.

a thought, i have no philosophical problem whatsoever with democrats going after republicans with negative ads - provided that the ads are decently produced and don't end up effecting more harm than good.
democrats going after other democrats in a hotly contested primary is a different situation entirely, though.

"...we need a senator who's on our side."
Cut to a family dinner with a guy who looks and dresses like the Merkley.

Another great example of "fair trade" being used as a winning election issue.

I hope the DSCC floods this race with money - Gordon Smith has been no friend of the working people in Oregon.
