Thanks Charlie. If there's one irrefutably great thing about O columnist Steve Duin, it's that he elbowed his way into locking down the concert performance grand-slam- getting the Boss to promise to Duin's daughter to play Thunder Road the next time he comes through Portland.

I'd perhaps suggest a line or two explaining WHY you're talking about Springsteen today.

I saw Bruce on December 8, 1974 in Burlington Vermont and have been a fan ever since.

first show was Born to Run tour in the 70s - Princeton, NJ. I've always been a huge fan. I was learning how to play guitar back then (still am :) and learned some of the tunes off of Asbury Park - but favorite albumn has to be The Wild and the Innocent and the East Street Shuffle!!! What a force! Makes me miss NEW Jersey...

I've been a Boss fan since I was 3 three years old; seen him 6 times; BTR was my wedding recessional. He is one of the great American story tellers and a defender of the America we all know we can regain.
