Sara Gelser Named Assistant Majority Leader

Salem — Oregon House Democrats elected State Rep. Sara Gelser (D-Corvallis, Philomath) as an Assistant Majority Leader Saturday at its monthly caucus meeting.The Corvallis legislator will be a key part of the Democratic Majority Office’s Leadership Team which meets regularly to guide the House majority on policy and political issues.
“Rep. Gelser has been a huge addition to the Democratic caucus. She brings great energy and great insight into critical issues around children, education, health care and more. She also has proved to be very effective working with her constituents on issues and challenges they face with state government,” said Majority Leader Dave Hunt (D-Clackamas County).
