DNC blog highlights Carol Voisin
Over at the national Democratic Party blog, they're taking note of Carol Voisin. She's the Democratic candidate in Oregon's 2nd District, running against Oregon's lone GOP Congressman - Greg Walden.
This is yet another district where Democrats are fighting hard to replace a rubber-stamp Republican. The district re-elected President Bush in 2004, but it also re-elected Democratic Senator Ron Wyden that same year. It's a district that hasn't been high on the radar screen, but where local Dems have decided to challenge the status-quo, to refuse to accept a "red" district can't turn "blue", and who are united in their efforts.
Head on over and read the rest. Discuss over there.
