BlueOregon outage...
blueoregon admin
FYI, the blogging software provider that hosts BlueOregon - TypePad.com, the second biggest in the world - is under attack. Consequently, access to BlueOregon has been limited.
Since approximately 4:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time, Six Apart has been the victim of a sophisticated distributed denial of service attack. This has affected all of Six Apart's sites, causing intermittent and limited availability for TypePad, LiveJournal, TypeKey, sixapart.com, movabletype.org and movabletype.com. Our network operations staff is working around the clock with our Internet access providers to resolve the issue. We appreciate your patience and support, and will provide updates as we have them.
Thanks for your patience.

Knew something like that happened! Gave up trying this afternoon after getting the error message not only for Blue Oregon but for New Frames which uses the same software.
Was glad to see it come back finally.

FYI, for those of you running Movable Type blogs, there's one way in which you might also have been affected by this. The default for the administration/management screen in an MT install is to include a "newsbox" of MovableType news. That feature is pulling that newsfeed from servers at SixApart, and so if you tend to enter your MT installs through the main admin screen, it could hang. It took my hours today to realize why some of my MT installs were hanging when I went to admin them and others weren't -- it was the newsbox.
If you're running MT and experiencing this error, try putting (without the quotes) "NewsboxURL disable" in your MT configuration file.
