Did y'all see Reverend Lowery STARE DOWN poor, sodden W and call him a "liar" on WMD at the King funeral?

The good reverend got a Standing O... while W looked stunned... like he did when he flunked his first class at Yale.

Yep I saw it Sid. It was enjoyable although I'm not sure political diatribes belonged at the memorial service.
I did dnotice that Bill Clinton and the Bush family do indeed seem to enjoy each other. There were several animated conversations and laughs going on between Bill and The Pres. Hillay seemed totally unamused by it all.
Speaking of Hillary....standing next to Bill on the podium magnifies her lack of humor, personality, and mediocre speaking ability. I'm convinced ol' Bill would win easily if he were able to run again for those very reasons....a sense of humor, dynamic personality, and a speakng ability that engages his audience.
Somehow someway we HAVE to find a viable candidate for the White House before mid 2007. Hillary won't win 15 states.

Progressives support redistribution of wealth (like the estate tax) and "progressive" (meaning rising) income tax brackets. Right? Fair is fair, level the playing field, best judge a society by how they treat their most vulnerable populations....Blah, blah, blah. If you support "fair" tax policies, you ought to support "fair" spending policies. A little intellectual consistency is all I ask.
Take, for example, the equitable distribution of General Fund tax revenues across all Oregon public schools. The "rich" school districts (like Portland) were robbed to pay the poor school districts more. This provides for equal funding of all the children in Oregon, no matter where they live. It's simply progressive redistribution of wealth: just like you wanted.
But nooooooo! Those selfish Portland Mommies and Daddies can't sit idly by and accept the averaging of statewide education spending. Their little darlings REQUIRE MORE RESOURCES than all those "other" kids. It's like the little urban kiddies are all driving Hummers to school: their resource hogs.
So it's "Teachers and Children first" into the lifeboat of a new city income tax. Batten the hatches and load the torpedoes: Portland Public Schools are going to sink the SS Equitable Education Budget.
