Don't buy a meth house
There's been lots of discussion in Oregon the last few months about meth - and the various impacts it's having on our communities. In the midst of the real estate craze right now, one scary possibility is that you could buy a former meth house - and not even know it.
Over at the Portland Real Estate Blog, Charles Turner has some tips and some resources.
It's hard to watch or listen to the news today without being very aware that most of the crime around Portland is meth related. The manufacturing of meth turns the production facility (usually some unknowing landlord's house) into a hazard material's clean-up site! Instantly uninhabitable.
Read "Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll in Real Estate (Part 1: Drugs)" and discuss over there.
