New Poll: Sorenson leads Kulongoski
The results of a recent Portland Tribune statewide poll show that if the gubernatorial election were held today that Lane County Commissioner Pete Sorenson would be elected governor.
When reached by phone for comment, Sorenson said he had to return our call later because if he didn’t get out of bed and do his chores soon his mom would kick him out of the house again. Later, Sorenson expressed relief, "The first lady might like to call it Pneumonia Hall, but at least my mom won't be there to hassle me."
Meanwhile, as it has since late last year, the Tribune poll continues to show Jim Francesconi with a significant lead over Tom Potter in the race for Portland mayor.
