Mmm.... Free Ice Cream, Good Cause
Kari Chisholm
Generally speaking, I'm going to refrain from yammering on about all the various do-gooder opportunities out there, but this one involves free ice cream cake.
Cold Stone Creamery, which has franchises popping up in every corner of the state, is giving away free ice cream cake from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight.
Why? Well, they're hoping you'll make a donation to Oregon Make-a-Wish. These are the folks that make wishes come true for kids with life-threatening illnesses. Good people.
One last pitch...
"The Make-A-Wish cake was developed by Kristen, age 11, and Brian, age 9, brother and sister wish children from Chicago. The cake consists of layers of devil’s food cake and sweet cream ice cream blended with Oreos and chocolate shavings, covered in a rich fudge ganache."
